In this post I really feel like talking about dreams. Chasing your dreams, not turning back when things get tough, doing your very best. I want to talk about these things because I feel like it needs to be said, you are your dreams. Two years ago, I graduated from college with a degree I didn’t really want. And instead of just getting a job in the field, I decided to ACT. I decided to start Curls and Contours. All of a sudden and honestly I don’t know how I didn’t see it before, I wanted to live a truly unique life, free from the everyday strains of a 40 hour work week. I wanted more, and I wanted to create, and educate, and inspire.
A dream formed, and it was clear. My new job? Chase that dream down. I took my brains from college, and pushed them at Curls and Contours. I can’t say that I haven’t thought about quitting, or giving up these past two years. Its not easy putting yourself out there. But I have to keep pushing, because everyday I live my dream, I am one step closer to that unique life.
This past year my life completely changed, I changed jobs(still working that 40 lol), I found more value in myself than I even knew existed, I lost an old friend, and I gained a new one, I learned about myself, and I figured out how to push on.
I push forward, and each day I get one step closer to that unique life.
Now you are probably thinking(unless you are my mom, hey Janice!) “Anne we aren’t here to read about your philosophical thoughts on dreams, we are here for the SKIRT.” And you are so right, this skirt from Society Plus is AMAZING! Once again I am so impressed with the quality, and what I love the most is the weight of the fabric, its heavy and luxe. I obsessed over this when I shared the Sequin Society Plus Skirt too!!! What is it with me and heavy fabrics lol.
Now being a curvy girl, there are styles out there that just don’t exist for plus size people(so shitty I know believe me) and a lace mini skirt used to fall in that category, have you been on Pinterest lately? Lace mini skirts are everywhere, all the small people have them. Being the curvy girl that wants it all, I have always lusted after one. So it is only fitting that Society Plus would give me the opportunity to name and style this skirt. For my readers that have been with my since day one, SOCIETY PLUS NAMED THIS SKIRT AFTER ME!! OMFG!! Right? hahaha
Shop the skirt, love the skirt, and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.
This post was sponsored by Society Plus, all opinions and philosophical thoughts on dreams are my own. 🙂
