Sunnies | Dress | Jacket | Booties | Bag
Its that time of year, it doesn’t get quite hot enough to warrant shorts and a tank top everyday BUT its not cold enough to bundle up. Its officially the season of light layers (my favorite).
That pretty dress you want to wear out to dinner but there is a crispness in the air? Grab a jacket.
Those toes getting a little chilled for the sandals you have been wearing all summer? Get out your booties!
I know you aren’t ready to give up summer, because honestly I am not ready either. But I can’t lie, when I say that I am excited for muted tones and that cozy safe feeling that comes from a sweater on a cool day. My rule for transitional dressing is pretty easy to follow, if by the last two weeks of August its less than 80 degrees I am mixing my Fall favorites into my summer wardrobe. As the temps dip more and more of my fall pieces move into my regular rotation and less and less of my summer favorites are seen.
This LBD is actually a summer dress, but mixed with a flowy fall jacket and some fringe booties I am ready to take on the 50 degree mornings, 70 degree afternoons, and 60 degree evenings. Do you have any fall transition rules that are tried and true?
