Day to Night Resort Looks with Loralette. Happy New Year!! I know we are well into January at this point, but this is my first post since my #selfcare hiatus. I haven’t take a week off of blogging in over a YEAR! So I decided that it was high time to take a little time to myself and boy did I need it! I am back now and ready to continue to bring you a fresh perspective and style tips for this year. IN FACT! I am so excited to be sharing some resort pieces with you from one of my favorite plus brands Loralette!
In todays blog post I am sharing a Day to Night Resort with Loralette, what is especially fun about this is…I shot these looks while on vacation and really went from day to night in them!
DAY
I paired a fun beach bag, some colorful sandals, and bright earrings with this stripe dress from Loralette. I wore this look to the Spa and we shot this look post massage(so relaxing). We have vacationed in Key West many times, and usually we stay on the island in a condo or rental house, a few years ago we stopped in at Casa Marina for massages and a beach day and now its tradition. This year it wasn’t beach weather, so we hit the Spa and then took off for lunch at our favorite restaurant on the island, Blue Heaven.
The most intriguing aspect of this garment is the relaxed sleeve. As a curvy girl, I feel like I ALWAYS end up in tops and dresses with fitted sleeves. You know the fit, its an age old popular one for curvy women, fitted arms, boxy waist. Its so refreshing to have a knitted dress with relaxed sleeve. I love the bold black and white stripe, this dress has an elastic waist with a faux drawstring.
STYLE TIP- Style this dress in the Spring with white sneakers and minimal jewelry for a sportier look. Its fun on vacation styled with bold accessories for a beachier vibe.
NIGHT
Key West is known for the famous Duval Street, and if you have been to the island than you know that Duval is party central. I styled this tiered hem olive green dress with sky high heels, my favorite Clare V clutch and some fun statement earrings. I love the way the hot pink earrings pop with the olive color, and you know my thing for a great pair of heels. I have worn this particular pair all over(see them in NYC HERE).
I love this dress for nights out on vacation, when the temps drop at night I like to have my “sun kissed/burnt” skin covered up. This particular piece is great now, and will pair really well some OTK boots for Fall an Winter weather at home.
Olive green has been so in this past season, I love finding new ways to mix this color into my wardrobe. I wore this dress for an evening out on the town, we had dinner and went to a few different bars along Duval St… Our favorite would be Irish Kevin’s, we love the live entertainment and raucous atmosphere!
A few details on this piece that are important to note. The tiered hemline is extremely flattering and a fun way to add dimension and texture. I found this dress to run small in the bust, I recommend sizing up for the best fit.
