Its the first day of FALLLLLL, my favorite season. Almost all my favorite things happen in the fall, my wedding anniversary, halloween, pumpkin spice lattes. You get the picture :). This month for my Kiyonna review I wanted to try out one of their new Kimonos, Kiyonna is known for creating quality pieces for the plus size woman that are meant to last. This trendy piece is no different, the quality really shows.
This Kimono comes in two different patterns a black print and a brown print. This topper is a polyester blend with lace detail along the sleeves and hemline. Its fitted with a belt that you can remove or tie around you waist. I have worn this piece both ways, and have really enjoyed the belt option as a fitted look. I am 5’6″ and the kimono hit me mid thigh, this is enough coverage to keep me feeling confident but not drowning in fabric. Something I would like to highlight is the fabric choice for this garment, its super light and anti wrinkle, I have other kimonos that are a rayon blend, they are so prone to wrinkle and are heavy on warmer days.
The pajama streetwear trend is all the rage this season, and while this trend may seem a little out of reach for the plus size babe pieces like the kimono make this easy to try. I love the edgy looks and trends that come off the runway at NYFW but sometimes those don’t translate to the everyday girl, and often times they aren’t even offered for the plus size girl. Kiyonna has created a piece that speaks to the edgier girl that still wants accessible fashion.
I opted to style this piece with skinnies and a fitted black tank, I wanted to offset the loose fit of the kimono with fitted jeans and a tank. This creates balance and lets the kimono really shine.
I have reviewed some really beautiful pieces for Kiyonna, each piece shines in its own special way. What I really enjoy about this Kiyonna garment is the versatility. I have already worn this with leggings and a blouse, and plan on styling it with some over the knee boots(as soon as this heat gives up).

Looking good. I like how you styled that with skinny jeans and a tank. A comfy look that is still stylish and unique. – Amy
