Today on the blog I am sharing a trend highlight for fall and winter! Animal print is all the rage so I teamed up with Lane Bryant to bring you a couple of leopard inspired looks for the cooler months. Women have been rocking leopard print for years, especially in the autumn but the fall and winter trend forecasts told us that animal prints were going to be dominating different brands and lines. With leopard everywhere, fashionistas really have the opportunity to play with different layers, textures and styles.
Style Tip : Wearing bold patterns can be daunting for some, my biggest advice is to wear your CONFIDENCE first and the rest will fall right into line!
In todays post I am sharing two totally different looks and ways to style the same leopard jacket! One over the top glam leopard look, and one edgy chic leopard look. Each of these leopard-centric outfits is perfect for autumn weather with layers, and great texture to keep you warm when you need it. Right now Lane Bryant has some really fantastic leopard pieces. From a leopard suit, to boots they are really working this trend in the very best way.
Leopard on Leopard
With all of the leopard options available I was able to shop a few different leopard prints and textures to create a truly over the top leopard ensemble. I based this entire look around the jacket, and this is a great strategy when styling an outfit that is trendy. Highlight the trend and base the rest of your look around it.
This look works well because the two leopard prints are different, I kept it light on my lower half by styling the dress and coat with strap sandals and a black belt. And found that the two differing “leopard” tones work quite well together. The dress is vibrant and saturated and the jacket is muted and has the added “faux” fur texture. This particular jacket is a bomber style, it features a satin lining and muted leopard pattern, I love this styled as a statement outerwear AND styled alongside a statement piece like this dress!

Leopard As A Statement
The second look that I styled placed the leopard jacket as the statement piece! I paired some Lane Bryant true stretch denim with a black top and black booties. I wanted the leopard jacket to really shine so I kept it simple with dark denim jeggings and a pair of fun black studded booties. This outfit is a great day to night look, swap out the boots for heels and you are ready for a night out on the town! Animal print is such a trend right now, you might as well capitalize on it and wear it as outerwear!!
I sized up in the leopard bomber but could have gotten away with my usual 14/16. I suggest ordering this jacket in your true size.
You already know I am an accessories minimalist, I would rather play up my clothing than layer on jewelry, so anytime I can add some hoop earrings and be out the door its a win for me!!
