It has been SO HARD keeping my involvement with Loralette a secret! I am so honored to be one of the first bloggers to work with Loralette, Avenue’s new plus line. What I specifically love about this new brand launch is the #letmebeme social tag they have come up with. They asked me to come up with my own “Let Me Be Me” tag to go with this rocking red dress and I really felt that “Let Me Be Bold” was a fitting statement. Not just for this dress, but for my life.
What is the definition of Bold?
adjective
(of a person, action, or idea) showing an ability to take risks; confident and courageous.
“a bold attempt to solve the crisis”
synonyms: daring, intrepid, brave, courageous, valiant, valorous, fearless, dauntless, audacious, daredevil
That is my journey to body acceptance, as a plus size woman it is extremely hard to STOP seeing yourself as something that can be “Fixed” and just seeing yourself as unbroken and beautiful. Then admitting it to the world? That is bold.
To me, “Let me be me” is all about owning your own truth. What is your truth? I found mine to be that I am unapologetically bold. I am going to take that risk, I am going to be confident, I am going to have the courage to stand tall and proud in a society that has conditioned me to believe that I am something that can just be “fixed” with the right diet, or concealing piece of clothing.
So here is the exciting part! You can shop my curated picks on Loralette.com
