Plus Size Prom. This post is sponsored by Liz Louize, for more of my posts with Liz Louize go HERE and HERE.
Formal gowns can be a conundrum for the plus size body, and many young women feel that they are not worthy of prom because their bodies don’t fit societies standards of a “teenage beauty.” Quick question. Does the previous sentence make you mad? If it doesn’t then it really should. Young women in todays society are under so much pressure to be perfect, I remember being in school and panicking when it came time for formal dress shopping. Would anything fit? Do I need to diet before the dance? Should I even go? These are all questions I asked myself.
But…Here is the thing, and its a really important thing. You don’t have to miss a single event because of your body. You don’t have to “give up” on a life experience like prom because you don’t fit in a standard size dress. I partnered with Liz Louize to bring you some fabulous plus size prom ready gowns that will take your breath away. Each dress is meant to appeal to a different type of girl. Each of these dresses are available in store and on the Liz Louize website.
This lovely gown makes you feel like a royal, a soft stretch knit in black with elegantly placed sequin detailing. This piece dress features a knee length slit, that is alluring and modest. This style is well suited for a hair up or down style and would be gorgeous with elbow length gloves and a faux fur stole.
I named this gown the “Cinderella” due to its coloring and full skirt. This dress is simply stunning, with bra friendly straps and a belt to add polish this unique garment is a dress fit for a girl of romantic style and a love of color. Add a hot pink heel and a necklace to this stunner for a bright and romantic prom.
The Flapper is aptly named for its short length and slip on style. This dress is for the girl that came to D A N C E. Style this dress with some sky high heels and the biggest earrings you can find for a night you will never forget.
The details on this dress are BEYOND! Perfect for the girl that loves a little baroque styling, this piece features a lace overlay with sewn on black appliqués. The full skirt on this dress appeals to dreamy romance that exists in every womans heart. Style this gown with matching earrings and black heels. Wear your hair up to showcase the unique back on this dress.
Well if you haven’t already guessed it, this dress is named after Jessica Rabbit. Appeal to the smoking hot mama inside you with this cherry red sequin garment. This red dress has some stretch and is a generous 14. Bra friendly and so freakin sassy, style this dress with a nude strap heel and a bold red lip.
A gown fit for a mermaid this beauty has IT ALL! I loved wearing this gown, the corset lacing in the back created a truly custom fit, and the navy blue beading just elevates the whole garment. Style this look with navy strap sandal and some chandelier earrings for a look that will be a show stopper!
