Work ready with Liz Louize

This post is part of a monthly sponsored series on Liz Louize for more in this series go HERE, and HERE. ūüôā

I have big HUGE NEWS!! Liz Louize NOW HAS AN ONLINE STOREEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Where my curvy babes at? I have a question for you.

When was the last time you slipped into a smart, structured dress and went off to work? I found myself contemplating this, as a plus size person why are my only options flowy and wide leg pants when I am looking to dress professional? This week on the blog I am so pleased to share three smart structured dresses perfect for your next professional outing.

In my last Liz Louize post I shared the benefits of boutique shopping(you can find that post HERE). On my visit to Liz Louize I got to chatting with the owners of the boutique(Hey Amy and Amanda!) about quality professional outfits for the plus size woman. We all felt that curvy babes in the workplace miss out on the variety of options their regular size counterparts have access to. Liz Louize happens to keep a variety of unique work ready options in stock!

It always seems to be the same outfit formula for plus size ladies- wide leg slacks, flowy top, and some sort of blazer or cardigan. And don’t get me wrong this is cute and easy, but the variety is missing. So today on the blog I am sharing my three favorite work ready dresses from Liz Louize. Lets break out of that mold and try something different!

Are you tired of always dressing in flowy tops and slacks for work? In this weeks post I am sharing 3 structured plus size dresses work ready Liz Louize.

This dress is a thick knit fabric that has a good amount of stretch. I wanted to share this dress specifically because of the fit, its so comfortable but looks so put together. The belt comes with the dress and really adds some shape and interest to the dress. I opted to pair this garment with a simple black cardigan to add an extra layer of warmth. I would love to style this dress with black tights and a blazer for a cool weather look.

I picked this piece out immediately while shopping around Liz Louize, I love the classic color and details on this dress. This garment felt perfectly tailored for a day at work and then with a simple change of accessories an evening out. I would style this with a blazer and pumps for the office, and then a leather jacket and some over the knee boots for after work drinks with the girls. When we shot this look, I joked that this dress had a definite “Jackie O” feel all I need is a pillbox hat, some gloves and black sunglasses to complete the look!

The last dress that I styled from Liz Louize is this black and white shimmer sheath dress. I grabbed up a red blazer to add some color, and I think it really makes the whole look pop. The red blazer lends this look a holiday feel, swapping out the red for a black topper would keep this firmly in the “It’s October not December” lane.

What do you like to wear to work? Are you a slacks and blouse girl or a dress girl?

5 reasons I love Universal Standard

This post is sponsored by Universal Standard

Universal Standard is a plus size fashion brand that creates quality chic pieces that will last for years to come. They offer a size guarantee Liz Top | My dress

I am so excited to share one of my favorite brands with you today!! Universal Standard is chic plus size start up that is based in New York. My blogger bestie Liz from the blog With Wonder and Whimsy visited the Universal Standard showroom while we were in NYC for Full Figured Fashion Week. I knew from following them on Instagram that this was a line that I LOVED. While we were there I purchased their most talked about garment the Geneva dress, and Universal Standard gifted me the Katy dress for this post.

When I sat down to put this post together for you, I couldn’t decide how to frame it out. This is a brand that I really love and wear a lot, so I decided to share my 5 favorite things about Universal Standard with you.

Let’s GOOOOOOO.

Universal Standard is a plus size fashion brand that creates quality chic pieces that will last for years to come. They offer a size guarantee

1. Universal Standard pieces are not “fast fashion”¬†each piece is designed to stand the test of time and always be in style. From the quality of the fabrics used, to the design of each piece. I styled the Katy dress with some OTK boots and a leopard clutch, this piece is versatile it could be styled up to take me to a wedding, or slipped into with some booties to head off to work for the day. As a plus size women I have been conditioned to shop “watered down” trends that eventually come in plus sizes. Universal Standard is creating pieces that will always be chic no matter what.

2. Ladies….Universal Standard offers a sizing¬†guarantee.¬†They call it Universal Fit Liberty, and its amazing. Here’s how it works. When a piece from their core collection no longer fits you can return it to U.S. within a year for a completely new garment in your current size. Honestly, when we visited the Universal Standard showroom and learned about this service I was blown away. This is how I like to think about it, and you can’t tell me you have never been there.

Let me take you back, to a 23 year old Anne, I am at home trying to fit into yet another pair of skinny jeans that are now just to small. I am standing in my room crying, how I could I do this, what a waste, I am so fat now, I have nothing to wear. I had no fit guarantee, I had my own self hatred and loathing to fuel yet another yoyo diet that got me nowhere. The Universal Fit Liberty is like a comforting hug to any plus size women. To me its a reminder that I am good enough, I am allowed to have clothing that fits, and I am allowed to love myself at any size.

3. Their clothing is made for the minimalist chic women in all of us.¬†You know she is in there, hiding in that part of your soul that craves chanel bags, and all black everything. That ultra chic girl that throws on a paper sac and looks like a Hadid sister. THAT girl, she lives in me too, and dictates most of my handbag purchases LOL. Universal Standard creates pieces that let that girl come out. The one that can command the boardroom, walk the catwalk(or sidewalk lol), and order extra dessert at dinner. When I wear my U.S. pieces I feel that I can take on the world. There is something so empowering about wearing a garment that has so much thought behind it. There’s almost a pride to it, a confidence in knowing that you are a part of something that is changing the way the fashion industry thinks about plus size bodies.

4. Can we please have a moment of¬†silence for the…Crepe¬†Fabric.¬†Plus size or not you have not loved how a garment feels until you have worn a satin back crepe. The weight is perfect, the way it feels against your skin, and the luxury is next level nice. So nice in fact that Universal Standard offers many of their pieces in the Crepe fabric. Don’t worry girls, I will be linking them, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

Universal Standard is a plus size fashion brand that creates quality chic pieces that will last for years to come. They offer a size guarantee

5. Universal Standard pieces¬†aren’t for other people,¬†they are for Y O U.¬†This isn’t a brand that is going to create pieces to make other people feel comfortable being around a plus size person, this is brand that creates clothing that isn’t meant to hide/cover/shame a plus size person for having a body. This is brand that celebrates the women that wear their clothing, if you want to rock a sheer dress, DO IT. If you have always wanted to wear a leather top, WEAR IT.

I am so blessed to be able to collaborate with Universal Standard, I am such a huge fan of this brand and their esthetic. Liz and I loved visiting the showroom, if you have a NYC trip planned or are a resident of the city, get yourself over to U.S. stat!

Sharing a few of my favorite Maurices Fall looks, a skinnies and jacket combo for cooler days. A lightweight fall dress for days when its 80 degrees in Fall

Happy Monday! This week is a crazy one for me, I have so much to do and not enough time to do it!! But I wanted to pop on to share a couple of easy Fall looks from Maurices. I know I am always introducing you to new brands, and different ways to style pieces. In this post I wanted to share a couple of looks from one of my favorite plus size store, Maurices!!

I literally have a Maurices 5 minutes down the road from me. I pop in there pretty regularly to check out their inventory and see if there is anything I have to have. On my last trip in I scooped up a pretty little dress that is perfect for transitioning to fall. I participated in the Maurices loves teachers campaign on Instagram, and selected the jacket, skinnies, booties, and tee. Now that I have a little bit of free space on C&C I HAD to share the details with you.

I have such a love for black clothing, I love how easy it is to wear, how cool it makes me feel, and how it serves as an excellent backdrop for other pieces. I styled this fall look so that the jacket would pop off a basic black canvas, this chestnut jacket is really versatile, it can easily blend in with a pair of light wash skinnies, and a white tee(which I have worn) or it can serve as a statement piece with black garments to complement it.

I ordered my usual size in these skinnies and they fit but were really tight, so I would suggest sizing up, I don’t know if it was the pull on that made them fit different vs a traditional pant but they were really fitted. The color saturation on these is really intense, I could easily pair these with a dressier top and some loafers for an office look.

The tee is from their 24/7 collection, which has been my favorite tee collection for years. The material is so soft, the pieces are cut to hang really nicely, but not look baggy and most of the tees can be worn with leggings!! I have been wearing Maurices 24/7 tees since before Curls and Contours was even started. I could go on and on and on about them LOL. They are available in both straight and plus sizes too!!

Dress | Necklace | Booties

I scooped this dress up when I was in to exchange some shoes and its my favorite for this September heat wave. The material is SUPER light and easy to wear, and the colors are just right for Fall. I paired it with a jean jacket and open toe booties the other day and it was beyond cute!!

My TOMS booties are like 4 years old, but I could resist their classic fall look with this dress. I would love to style this piece with some cowboy boots and chambray tied around my waist.

I love that Maurices offers plus size and straight size clothing in the same store, that way you can shop with your girlfriends and really enjoy the fitting room experience. If you are shopping alone(like me most of the time) enlist on of their stylists to help you, I have become friends with all the girls at my local store, I know I can shop alone with confidence because I will still get the conversation and clothes talk that I need. ūüôā

Kiyonna Kimono

This post contains affiliate links. Kyonna gifted me this kimono in exchange for my honest review.

Kimono | Jeans(similar) | Shoes

Its the first day of FALLLLLL, my favorite season. Almost all my favorite things happen in the fall, my wedding anniversary, halloween, pumpkin spice lattes. You get the picture :). This month for my Kiyonna review I wanted to try out one of their new Kimonos, Kiyonna is known for creating quality pieces for the plus size woman that are meant to last. This trendy piece is no different, the quality really shows.

This Kimono comes in two different patterns a black print and a brown print. This topper is a polyester blend with lace detail along the sleeves and hemline. Its fitted with a belt that you can remove or tie around you waist. I have worn this piece both ways, and have really enjoyed the belt option as a fitted look. I am 5’6″ and the kimono hit me mid thigh, this is enough coverage to keep me feeling confident but not drowning in fabric. Something I would like to highlight is the fabric choice for this garment, its super light and anti wrinkle, I have other kimonos that are a rayon blend, they are so prone to wrinkle and are heavy on warmer days.

The pajama streetwear trend is all the rage this season, and while this trend may seem a little out of reach for the plus size babe pieces like the kimono make this easy to try. I love the edgy looks and trends that come off the runway at NYFW but sometimes those don’t translate to the everyday girl, and often times they aren’t even offered for the plus size girl. Kiyonna has created a piece that speaks to the edgier girl that still wants accessible fashion.

I opted to style this piece with skinnies and a fitted black tank, I wanted to offset the loose fit of the kimono with fitted jeans and a tank. This creates balance and lets the kimono really shine.

I have reviewed some really beautiful pieces for Kiyonna, each piece shines in its own special way. What I really enjoy about this Kiyonna garment is the versatility. I have already worn this with leggings and a blouse, and plan on styling it with some over the knee boots(as soon as this heat gives up).

3 ways to get the most out of your resale shopping experience. A review of the Detroit plus size store HIPS Resale Boutique. A curvy boutique in Michigan.

Get the Most out of Resale Shopping

This week on Curls and Contours I am partnering with HIPS Resale boutique to share 3 ways to get the most out of your resale shopping experience! I am also sharing 3 outfits featuring pieces from HIPS Resale Boutique!

Lets get started with a little info about HIPS.

HIPS Resale boutique is a resale shop that specializes in plus size clothing sizes 12-32, there are two locations in the metro Detroit area and they pay customers cash for their clothes! I have a big closet, and HIPS is my main source for selling clothes. Its fun to drop clothes off because I can do some shopping too!

3 ways to get the most out of your resale shopping experience. A HIPS Resale Boutique Review. A Plus Size boutique in Michigan.

Curated resale shops have become all the rage lately, you can find resale shops that specializes in niche items popping up everywhere. Its no surprise that a quality plus only resale shop would be successful and a place for curvy babes to find new pieces at inexpensive prices!

I found the looks in this post at the Clawson location, this little boutique is organized by type of garment, and  each garment rack is organized by size. I loved the fun music, and the sales associates were inviting and relaxed, helping me when I needed it.

Here are some tips for a girl that loves to shop. From resale to high fashion.

Tip ONE- Review your closet before shopping.

I have found that when I am shopping resale I get easily overwhelmed by the selection. There is literally only one of every item, going in and just trying to shop without a plan can leave you feeling overwhelmed and walking out the store with nothing. BUT going in with an idea of what you are looking for can help you to score resale gold. I like to make a couple of laps around the store before I head to the fitting room. That way I can take it all in AND really look for what I want to add to my closet.

I have been wanting to add more skirts for Fall to my wardrobe. By having a plan, and keeping my closet needs in mind I was able to score this jersey pleated skirt at HIPS for only 10 bucks!

Tip TWO- Shop all sizes

When shopping resale its important to shop all the sizes in the store. When clothes have already been washed, or they are from a line you have never heard of you never know when an item in a smaller or bigger size might be a perfect fit. This tip goes hand in hand with tip one, if you find that your work wardrobe needs more skirts, don’t limit yourself to just shopping your size. Shopping all sizes in a store takes time, don’t shop in a hurry.

I am not a person that gets intimidated or upset when I need to size up or down, if I like it I will find a way to wear it. Plain and Simple. This type of logic is perfect for resale shopping, I took a chance and tried on this size 18 fall dress at HIPS. This is not my usual size, but ended up being a perfect fit!

Tip THREE- Alterations are key

This tip goes hand in hand with tip number two. Part of the fun of shopping resale is getting great items at an inexpensive price. This little detail leaves room for an alterations budget. If you find something that doesn’t fit but is a great price you can ALWAYS have it altered. Having clothing altered also helps to make a piece your own. ¬†Simple alterations range from 15-50 dollars depending on who you are working with.

Clothing that is mass produced is created with a fit models proportions, so when you buy clothing off the rack its never truly your exact measurements. For years that has been a fashionistas secret, getting your clothing altered for a custom fit. And when you shop resale, you are able to save money and get that perfect fit! I found this leopard skirt at HIPS, it was to big but I could easily have it altered for a perfect fit.

What I buy at Nordstrom

What I buy at Nordstrom as a plus size woman, a post about how to shop Nordstrom like a pro, and how to shop smart in a big department store.

What I buy at Nordstrom as a plus size woman, a post about how to shop Nordstrom like a pro, and how to shop smart in a big department store.

This week on Curls and Contours I wanted to share a post that I get questions about ALL THE TIME. This post is about “What I buy at Nordstrom” and how I shop smart at a major department store.

What do I shop for at Nordstrom?

I utilize Nordstrom for 2 areas of my wardrobe. Pants and Skincare. I do own tops/dresses/shoes from Nordstrom but their bottoms and skincare offerings have me coming back again and again.

Pants

I have to admit I am addicted to upscale denim, a few years ago I got into Paige jeans and the rest is history. I love a quality pair of jeans, and Nordstrom has a great online offering for Plus Size women. I purchase most if not all of my pants from Nordstrom because of their easy return policy, and their wide selection of super quality pieces. My favorite pant buys from Nordstrom are the Zella High Waist legging, and my Good American jeans. I wear my Zella leggings with EVERYTHING, from walking my dogs in the evening to dressing up for a night out. They are hands down the most versatile piece in my wardrobe. I think I own 4 pairs at this point(not included my printed ones LOL).

Here are my favorite Zella leggings right now, in plus and regular!!

Zella Live In High Waist Leggings(Plus Size)

Zella Live In High Waist Leggings(Regular)

Zella Moto Ankle Leggings(Plus Size)

Zella Autumn High Waist Moto Ankle Leggings(Regular)

Skincare

I don’t talk a lot about my skin on the blog, and I would really like to change that. Let me tell you, my skin is THE WORST!!!! I have struggled for years with adult acne, and have quite a bit of scarring and pore issues. I am a faithful Nordstrom beauty counter girl, and here is why.

One day I was running some errands and happened to be in Nordstrom, at the time my skin was at an all time low, I had really dry patches, and a huge breakout of cystic acne along my jawline. Things were really really bad. I was stopped by an esthetician at the Clarins counter in Nordstrom, she wanted my to try her hand cream(which is amazing lol). We got to talking, and next thing I know she is giving me a mini facial and changing my life. I know that sounds crazy but its so beyond true. She talked me through why I was dry and patchy in areas and why my acne was out of control.

This Clarins esthetician explained to me that all the acne products that I was using on my skin was actually causing more acne because the oil in my skin could not balance out. She told me that instead of stripping my skin of oil and moisture, I needed to be adding moisture back to my skin(which at the time sounded like the craziest shit I had ever heard). She said that my skin cells were being stripped of all moisture every night and damaged by acne products, and that my body was sending lots of oil to my face because there wasn’t any. This is what was causing my breakouts, and the patchy dry areas were from the acne products.

I purchased a moisturizer from her that day, and she sent me home with samples of the rest of the Clarins line that she suggested for my skin. AND I was back in two weeks to buy it ALL. I started using the products that she sent me home with and within a week my skin was healing, and I honestly haven’t had a breakout since then. I have completely changed my skincare and makeup routine. I would still be living in adult acne hell if the Nordstrom Clarins esthetician hadn’t stopped me.

Here is the skincare that CHANGED MY LIFE!! From start to finish every night.

Clarins Cleansing Milk with Gentian for Combination/Oily Skin

Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed for Normal/Combination Skin

Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Bi-Phase Serum

Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Cream Gel

My pro tip for shopping Nordstrom-

Shop with a purpose, its a big store and everything is gorgeous(its easy to go crazy LOL). GO in (online or in store) with what you are looking for in mind. I know that I love their pants and skincare, so when I am in need of those items I turn to Nordstrom.

5 Outfits and 4 things I love!

It has been months since I have shared my weekend outfits!! During my workweek my clothes fall into the “Mom clothes” category, so on weekends and during my blog shoots I get to really play with my clothes! Today on the blog I am sharing 5 weekend outfits, and 4 things I am loving right now!
Plus Size Fashion blogger brings you links to 5 trendy/edgy weekend ready outfits. Post includes exact links to outfits pictured. Jacket | Leggings | Boots | Bag

  1. The TV Show Ozark- Keith and I have been watching the Netflix original Ozark like crazy! We loved Breaking Bad, and this show has that same feel to it. A little dark, a little twisted but ultimately about a man that is willing to do anything for his family including break the law. We haven’t had “Cable” TV for years, its a money saver and we get plenty of entertainment from Netflix and Hulu!

2. Midcentury Industrial Home Decor- We are renovating our kitchen and I have become OBSESSED with home decor, its not something I share on the blog(I could, but I don’t think you are here for that lol). I am loving pretty much everything from West Elm, and have been doing a ton of research on concrete countertops and how to create an eclectic space that meshes old with new. If you have any home decor blogs that fit this criteria SEND THEM MY WAY!!

3. Low Heeled Booties- Last Fall I was all heeled booties ALL the time. I just could not get into the low heeled options. But this year, I have been super into what is being offered. I have two pairs that will be what I am wearing nonstop until December(when the real cold weather hits). Links HERE, and HERE for the exact pairs that I have been loving.

4. Cauliflower Mac and Cheese- Keith and I prefer to eat High Fat/Low Carb dinners, gluten in general is not really my friend. We both just feel better the next day when we follow this way of eating. I made some Cauliflower Mac and Cheese a couple of months ago and it has been a weekly meal since. We usually add extra veggies to the recipe, like onions and mushrooms and when Keith makes it he adds spices to make it hot!! Recipe link HERE

Curves At Sea Cruise with Kiyonna

Dress | Shoes | Bag | Bracelet | Sunglasses

I have been reading about the FFFWeek Curves at Sea Cruise for years, and this year I was actually able to attend! It was everything I thought it would be, from the Fashion to the Dance floor. I know this is super dorky but I really had so much fun seeing the city by boat, typical Anne…Everyone is out on the dance floor and I am staring starry eyed at the statue of liberty. lol

I knew months ago that I wanted to wear the Bianca Ruched Dress to the Curves at Sea party, the Bianca dress is ruched from the bodice down and is meant to be fitted, the draping across the shoulders provides some coverage and adds a little peekaboo effect along the neckline. Bodycon silhouettes are a style that I love and find empowering, what I like about this dress is that it offers support, so minimal to no spanx are needed.

This dress in white would be perfect for a bride at a bachelorette party, the color and style is perfect for a brides night out. Currently the Bianca Ruched Dress is available in raspberry, black and porcelain. At Kiyonna I usually wear a size one, I opted to size up because of the shape of the dress, and I am glad I did. The size two was a perfect fit. Liz and I had shopped earlier in the day, I picked up the spiked gold bracelet to add some edge to the look. I wore some strappy block heeled sandals, and carried my favorite Clare V. clutch. My feet were good all night long, but as soon as we got off the boat at 11 I could barely walk lol.

Details if you are thinking about going on the FFFWeek Curves at Sea Cruise

We boarded the yacht at 6:30pm and left the dock at 8pm, the boat took us around Manhattan and then back to the harbor at 11pm. There was music, a fashion show, cash bar(two mixed drinks averaged about 30 dollars), and dinner. I paid around 100 dollars for my ticket.  The clear style most women wore was tight white dresses, some of the best looks of the night did not follow that idea. So if you are thinking of going next year, rock your own style. Reach for a piece that will make you happy!

Finally I have time to sit down and formerly introduce you to my latest handbag. The Louis Vuitton Favorite MM in Monogram Canvas with the adjustable monogram strap. After months of research and reading I ordered the Favorite MM as my new cross body option, I have been trying to find a crossbody that would meet my needs for about 6 months. I have tried Gucci, Michael Kors, and Coach. I just knew that I really wanted another Louis Vuitton bag, its iconic, holds value, and come with incredible customer service.

Let me start from the beginning… In April my mom and I made the trip out to LV to get my birthday present, we had our now annual day at the mall together, shopping and eating(and drinking lol). I ended up getting the Zippy Wallet in Rose Ballerine. ITS GORGEOUS and so useful(thank you to my hubby and my parents!). While we were there, I asked about the Favorite MM. It was completely out of stock in there store in the MM size and not available. Bummer I was not going to be able to get the bag that day. So we happily skipped out the door with my new wallet. I knew with a trip coming up, that I needed a crossbody option that I could carry¬†on my trip and for years to come

So….I watched one million more youtube reviews.

I decided that I did in fact need to track down a Favorite MM, so I started calling. AND calling, AND being transferred. I ended up tracking down a Favorite MM in Monogram at the Nordstrom Flagship store in Seattle. One of the TWO Nordstrom LV boutiques in the nation happened to have received the bag hours before I called. So she was shipped to my door!

The Favorite MM measures 11 x 7 inches.¬†Its not tiny, but definitely doesn’t hold a ton. I feel that if I wanted to carry a ton of stuff I would just use my Neverfull GM.

What fits in my Favorite MM

A review of the coveted Louis Vuitton Favorite MM in Monogram Canvas. This bag is currently one of the most sought after pieces from Louis Vuitton.

Key Pouch | Zippy Wallet | Iphone 7 plus | Lip Balm | Headphones

Lets talk strap options. With this particular bag a vachetta strap is included as a crossbody option, I chose to purchase a monogram strap for a more casual look and I also purchased a gold chain from Amazon to have as a dressier option. The LV strap trifecta!

There are a ton of rumors circulating about all of the LV Crossbody bags right now. I have heard everything from LV is retiring their entire current crossbody line and bringing out all new bags this fall TO everything is staying(except the Eva) put but particular bags are selling out fast due to popularity.

I for one am so pleased with this little bag, I can carry the essentials and enjoy having both hands free. I know I will be carrying this for years to come. ūüôā

Plus Size Fashion Showcase

A few months ago, fellow blogger and friend Liz (With Wonder and Whimsy) and I attended a networking event together. While we were there we heard so many different statements about where plus size women shop, and where plus women COULD shop? This really stuck with us. As full figured bloggers we have a vast knowledge of different brands that cater to curvy women and sell plus size clothing, AND so many women DO NOT KNOW THEY EXIST! How could this be? How could there be so many curvy options yet the women in our area only shop at 3 places. This realization hatched a wonderful idea. We should bring all the fabulous plus size brands that we know and love to life, in the form of a fashion show. But not any fashion show, a girls night out, and and walking the runway? Real plus size women of all shapes and sizes! We want to be able to show that all curvy bodies are not the same, you can still rock what you are wearing no matter your size!

So we teamed up with 10 fabulous brands and set out to feature a look that would be the speak to the voice of each label and be on trend for Spring and Summer seasons. To be honest making the selections from each brand was TOUGH(how do you choose between so many awesome items), we wanted to stay true to the brand and feature pieces that we felt were signature to that company, but at the same time select items that spoke to our demographic and to our personal tastes as bloggers and stylists. Part of blogging is creating a finished look, so in addition to clothing we also wanted to style each look with jewelry, shoes and a bag!

Not to get gooey on you, but each item that is being featured in this event, was hand selected by Liz or I. We labored over this integral piece of the event, it was both the hardest and most rewarding part of the process. Then when we were able to get together to shoot promo we truly enjoyed interacting and playing with the clothing! I am so excited to share all of our hard work with you. ūüôā

Tickets to Plus Size Fashion Showcase

Any fabulous night out HAS to come with GIFTS. I mean I love presents, so doesn’t everyone? We are so excited to offer our guests swag bags jam packed with stuff!! I don’t want to give it all away, but each bag will have brand specific coupons for our guests to use after the fashion show! In addition to other fabulous goodies!

Now lets talk decor, I had no idea when I met Liz that she was also a party planner, but when we found this out about each other it was PERFECT. I take great care in every party I plan, to the very last detail it is of great importance to me that each piece be perfect. I am so delighted to be able to incorporate items I already keep in my party decor inventory(yes I have that, its a thing) with vendors that Liz knows and loves. She turned me onto an Esty shop that is straight up darling!

Side note – Feel free to ask me about my grandmothers 80th Halloween Birthday party. It was INSANE, people thought I rented everything. Nope, its in the inventory :). I digress. lol

You may be thinking “Anne, I am from Southeast Michigan¬†and I read your blog and I already know where to shop.” Yes! And I want to meet you! Liz and I are so excited to meet readers and supporters of our passions. Seriously meeting a reader or a follower of Curls and Contours is like Christmas morning, I always ask Keith if I am ever a little to excited when I meet someone that follows Curls and Contours. I am like “Hi how are you, tell me about your whole life and I love your outfit, and THANK YOU FOR READING MY BLLLOOOGGGGG!” lol Don’t let that scare you off, I promise I am super chill in person. Promise. ūüėČ

If you are a blogger, or in the fashion industry we want you to attend so that you can network with others in the Fashion Industry, boutique owners will be there, retail industry babes will be there, the people that YOU NEED TO MEET will be chilling with us on May 7th! Its so empowering to be with other women that share the same passions as you do, and this Girls Night Out is the perfect place to make new friends and find new business contacts.

Come, have a drink or two ūüôā and some appetizers. Chat with your girlfriends and enjoy some fashion. We can’t wait to meet you!
