Today was a big day for Curls and Contours! I had my first photoshoot with a dear friend showcasing some outfits that work for the curvy girl in-between. Let me tell you how freaking weird it was to have my photo taken. I went through my closet and pulled my current faves to create a bank of photos to feature here on my fabulous blog. I mean seriously, I am like “Hey, I don’t know about hands or standing.” Not cute… Luckily my totally adorable friend Michele of “ME Promotions” was able to give me some pointers on how to look like a human.
Ok moving on, lets talk about why this outfit is A. Ok for curvy girls to wear. And B. How to pull off boots in June. And C. ‘Merica!
The dress is from a little boutique that I started following on Social Media. You have probably heard of it, Pink Coconut Boutique? This was my first time ordering from them and I am very pleased with the result. I did have this dress tailored to fit my specific needs (which I highly recommend to all women) but that is a different post for a different day. What I happen to really like about PCB is that they have different REAL girls modeling their clothing for the site. AND they list their sizes so you can actually get a feel for how its going to look on you.
I know this little number is SHORT, for that reason I chose to pair this dress with some classic cowboy boots. The boots height has a balancing effect on the whole look, I am featuring and showing my legs but letting the boots do the walking (I crack myself up). These particular babes are from Tony Lama, let me tell you they are comfortable. I have MANY pairs of cowboy boots from all the popular brands. But these beauties are kept from the mud and the muck at the barn and used only for concerts and fashion purposes. Follow me on insta (Curlsandcontours) for more pictures of these beauties out and about on me.
HEYYYY….My Fitbit made it into the photo because I am obsessed with my steps. My bag | Miche (last year), watch | Michael Kors, bracelet | David Yurman, ring | Charming Charlies.
Oh and C.”Merica, bag and boots…My go to for festivals and concerts!
