Touch of Spring Style with J.Jill. This post is sponsored by J.Jill and features gifted product, for more of my thoughts on the brand go HERE.
Here we are, in that time of year when the retail shops are bringing all their spring gear out, but its still 10 degrees. This time of year I am itching to start adding some spring colors into my winter looks. One of my favorite ways to do this is to add a pop of color through an accessory. I styled the new J.Jill drop waist dress and my favorite Chelsea Coat with the Compassion Fund scarf. This scarf is very lightweight, it will be perfect in the spring and summer and works great now as a bow scarf and a pop of color accessory. I would also tie this on a bag, or even around my wrist.
J.Jill recently released a black pleated drop waist skirt, I was super excited to give it a try and was surprised to find that it had a drawstring waist. And now don’t be shocked but…I don’t have a dress like this particular one in my closet! Due to the weather, I styled this knit dress with tights and my go to winter booties. I will be wearing this again with bare legs, and some spring shoes(probably some point toe flats). I topped the dress with the J.Jill Chelsea coat, which I styled previously HERE. I have been wearing this coat non stop this winter, I ordered a size up initially(I was worried about it fitting in the arms) and its a bit big. Nevertheless, its getting a lot of wear and I get compliments all the freaking time on it!
One of my “How to look Chic” tricks is to drape a coat or jacket over your shoulders. And let me tell you, IT WORKS, I love to feel cozy and draping a coat over your shoulders really brings that vibe. I encourage babes to try this trend all the time, you don’t need to be fancy to try it!
My style formula usually goes something like this; Black outfit + Statement coat = Chicness 🙂
