Guys….Fall Florals are my life now. Thats it. They are my life.
Liz and I collaborated on this blog post with Avenue
I am so excited to be collaborating with my blogger bestie/one of my real life besties Liz from the fabulous blog withwonderandwhimsy.com on a Fall Floral post with Avenue and Loralette. I have a few things I would like to cover in this post. I want to share one of Falls hottest trends, I want to introduce you to a new brand that I haven’t worn or shared with you guys yet, and I want to beg and plead with Liz to give me the Avenue top she is wearing for this post. I NEEEEEEDDDDD it in my life.
If you are an avid reader of my blog(thank you very much by the way) then you already know all about Loralette, because I was the first influencer to work with them! But if you are new here, then read all about my super fun Loralette collab HERE.
I am so so so in love with Avenue’s dresses for Fall! When I visited their Headquarters in June, I was able to see so much more of what they have planned! This floral maxi is just the tip of the iceberg. I picked this maxi specifically for the details, I love the cold shoulder and the double slits in front. The blousey fabric(a polyester blend) doesn’t cling and doesn’t wrinkle easily, which is perfect for me because I DONT iron. Like I don’t even own an iron.
Avenue is a plus size clothing brand founded in 1983 with the mission to provide the best fit for plus size women in the industry. The word on the street is that Avenue offers the BOMB DOT COM wide width shoes, and I love their dresses.
My booties are from Avenue as well! They are open on both sides and absolute perfection for these transitional months(no socks required). They are a faux suede and are less than 100 bucks! Currently as I write this post they are on sale for only 45.00! When I paired the booties with dress, I felt like a curvy Stevie Nicks(give me all the rocker gypsy clothes). The flowy dress, the heeled booties, obviously I rock her hair style already.
Liz paired her Avenue top(see photos below) with a pair of Loralette flare jeans and some Avenue booties. This fall floral top is a blousey polyester blend, with all the little details added in. Liz created balance by pairing the top with flare leg jeans, she adds interest by wearing an olive western inspired bootie from Avenue’s fall shoe collection.

Loralette has some super fun fall florals in their inventory, I wanted to feature a top that isn’t a color combo that I usually reach for, and while this top is super sheer, it gives me all the romantic, whimsical autumn vibes. This piece is definitely well suited for warmer climates or early September for us northern girls! I love love the sleeves, and the warm tone of the polyester blend fabric. I opted to style this top with skinnies and some mules, which honestly is a fall staple for me. I grabbed some statement earrings to pull the look together at the last minute, but just as easily could have gone accessory free. The statement sleeves on this top are a major attention getter, so keeping minimal accessories is easy. This is a sheer top, I would recommend a simple nude bralette underneath, and could see wearing this top out at night, to a local hotspot or my favorite martini bar.
Liz Styled her skinnies with a blue and pink floral cold shoulder top from Avenue, this top is a gorgeous knit fabric that can easily be dressed up or down. I love that she styled the look with some sassy patent pumps, and grey washed skinnies. This is a color combo for Fall that I wouldn’t easily think of, and I love that! The blue in the top is so rich and saturated, then with pops of pink flowers and little splashes of black this is a great piece for Fall with an unique color combo.
Style Tip
When dressing your curvy figure, go for balance.
Fitted top + Flared pants/skirt = Balance
Flowy top + Fitted pants/skirt = Balance
Ok, I promise I didn’t forget. LOL
Dear Liz, please give me the Avenue top you blogged about for this collab. I promise I will give it a great home and wear it ALL the time. hahahaha
This post was sponsored by Avenue, all opinions are my own.
