How is it October 30th already? I feel like it was September 1st yesterday, and here we are moving into November. This week I am kicking off my “Thankful” series. This November all of my posts will have a common theme, in each post this month I will be sharing my thoughts on thankfulness, this may be ideas on how to show others you are thankful to have them in your life, or just a quick blurb on something I am so thankful to have in my life.Today I am sharing a review of this Yours Clothing dress and boots.
Have you checked out Yours Clothing before? I LOVE sharing garments from YC on the blog, this UK based brand has SO MUCH stock and options for the curvy girl. There is literally something for everyone! To read more about YC on my blog click HERE, HERE or HERE.
Where are my girls with wide calves at? I am soon happy to share some fantastic OTK boots with you, these are a faux suede and they accommodate a wide calf(my calf is 17 inches and there is room to spare), I am 5’6″ and these come up well above my knee. I have worn them with dresses and leggings and they are a really subtle way to dip your toe into this trend. I love this trend especially for the colder months, I need coverage but I hate having to give up my short dresses thats where OTK boots come in. They look so chic, and give you that coverage that a ling dress or pant would provide. I am sharing the exact pair I am wearing but the stock is low right now, so I have linked a similar pair from YC below.
Black Stretch Over the Knee Boot – 78.00
I was specifically looking for a dress that would be great for a dressier Thanksgiving/Holiday event to share, but the dress had some criteria it had to meet first. This Blue Vanilla Curve dress fit the bill perfectly. I loved this dress for holiday gatherings because it ISNT TIGHT. This swing style dress has a lot of style but girl you can eat in it and be comfortable. The deep V/choker neckline adds a some flirt to dress that flows away from the body for a universally flattering fit. The trendy shoulder detail keeps this piece current and on trend. The polyester/elastine blend fabric has a great weight to it, and some nice stretch. I also really love that this piece isn’t red, orange, brown or green. This is a dress for the girl that wants to look dressed up, comfortable, and loves darker colors and not the classic “holiday color palette”.
Do you follow Yours Clothing on Facebook? This is my favorite social channel to keep up with what YC is up to, I love seeing what stores are opening and their Face of YC contest!
I am so thankful to be able to share my fashion finds with my readers and followers, without you Curls and Contours wouldn’t be what it is. Two years ago when I first started Curls and Contours I took a leap of faith, I told myself that with enough ambition and grit I could create something that could help and inspire others. And today as we move into another holiday season, I am so thankful to have you all in my life. Thank you for stopping in at Curls and Contours. It means more than you know.
