Today on the blog I am sharing some newwwwnesssss. This newness is two fold, I am bringing you a new brand, and with that brand I am sharing a brand new dress! Maggy London contacted me a couple months back and asked if I would be interested in sharing a piece from their curve collection with my readers and followers, it was a definite yes! I have stalked Maggy pieces for special events in the past, I love the classic styling and quality that goes into each garment.
Maggy London specializes in creating dresses that offer a polished style and impeccable craftsmanship. Having not worn a Maggy London dress before I wasn’t sure what to expect, and I am sooooo impressed with this dress. The craftsmanship is so evident, from the lining(yes its completely lined) to the perfect statement sleeves. If you have been following me for awhile then you know I have a thing for ruffle sleeves, and I will tell you that not all ruffles are created equal. Its all about the type of fabric and how the ruffle is attached to the garment. AND now I have seen the light, and been completely spoiled by Maggy London. LOL.
Lets talk styling.
This dress is called the “Stevie Curve Midi” and is considered a sheath style, the fabric is a crepe polyester blend and lays really nicely over the body. This piece is fully lined and features an invisible zipper that runs up the back. I styled this dress with minimal accessories, and my go to block heeled sandals. Another great shoe pairing would be a classic nude pump(like these). This dress is great for a party or a wedding guest look, the statement sleeves add drama and interest so keeping your heels low key is a must.
I have become a jewelry minimalist over the years, most days I just wear my wedding rings, but when I am in the mood to add something its almost always a statement earring. I paired some classic red tassel earrings for a pop of color to match my red lip. In the warmer months I could easily pair orange or yellow accessories with this dress for a warmer weather look. With the holidays upon us I really love the red.
This dress has a classic ease of wear look to it, its effortlessly chic, so styling it was a breeze. Keep it simple, and classic for outfit success.
