Happy Holidays!! Today on the blog I am sharing a Kiyonna formal gown. When I picked out the Screen Siren Gown to review this month I purposefully chose a “Holiday” themed color. Every holiday season formal events pop up in our lives, and its good to have an arsenal of gowns to pull out and wear. Also if you are doing a holiday themed engagement photoshoot or holiday family photos(glam factor 1,000) this gown would be perfect! Not going to lie here girls, I was kind of have a Rose from Titanic moment with this dress, I felt sooooooo glam!
This gown is a pull on style that comes in a variety of colors, I chose the red for obvious christmas reasons, but it also comes in Navy, Black, and Grey. The dress is fully lined with the exception of the arms, and features a plunging neckline. I found this gown to be a great weight, this helped it to lay really nicely across my body. Because of the fitted nature of this dress I opted to size up, and it was a perfect fit. Both the lining and the outer layer are a Spandex/Rayon blend so this piece has quite a bit of stretch, which is so nice because you can actually move in it. Whether you are dancing or sitting down for a formal meal this gown is in for the long haul!
How to Style –
As most of you know I am a minimalist when it comes to accessories. I prefer to keep a few super quality handbags that will go with everything and last many years then to have a closet full of bags. I also carry this belief over to shoes and jewelry. I like to keep a stock of statement earrings that are super versatile, that way I can just grab and go. I love THESE for this dress!
My advice for styling this Kiyonna formal gown, keep it simple and classic, the neckline is so interesting with the scalloped lace that you don’t need a necklace. I skipped bracelets because I hate it when bracelets catch on lace and snag my gown (#notworthit).
I paired this dress with my trusty and well worn strap block heeled sandals that I wear ALL THE TIME. Once I have a pair of heels broke in its so hard to get away from them, purely based of the fact that they won’t kill your feet! If you live in a colder climate(like me) I suggest THESE to go with the Screen Siren gown.
