Happy Friday! Today on the blog I am sharing my last post in my three part Lane Bryant nursing series! Today we are talking about LB nursing friendly tops! Before getting pregnant I was a girl that loved a good pair of jeans, once I was pregnant I found pants to be SO UNCOMFORTABLE even maternity styles. So I filled my closet with dresses and away I went for 4 months, by the time Penn was born I was so beyond ready to wear my pants again AND with breastfeeding I really needed to be wearing separates. My search for good tops began, and Lane Bryant really came to the rescue.
Make sure to catch up on my other two blog posts featuring Lane Bryant nursing friendly dresses and the Cacique nursing bra collection.
A good nursing top means a few different things, you need to be able to get your baby in and out easily, its got to be stain resistant, and for me I need it to be flowy and forgiving(I did just have a baby). As I continue to adjust to life as a mom having the right clothes that I can feel confident in is so important especially when I am venturing out of the house. For me there are two different styles of nursing friendly tops, tops that pull aside and tops that lift up and in terms of what works better that depends on your preference. I like both styles and have both in my closet, the nice feature of tops that pull aside is that you are not showing your bare belly off while you nurse.
This season Lane Bryant has got a fantastic selection of tops and sweaters for nursing mommas I am featuring a button down tunic, duster and skinny jean. I love the cozy feel of this look, and that I can easily nurse my little man at home or on the go.
I styled this look around the button down flannel tunic, I wanted to be comfortable so I sized up when really I should have stuck with a 14/16. I paired the top with a knee length merlot duster, skinny jeans and some knee high heeled boots all from Lane Bryant. For me this is an outfit I would wear out to lunch with a girlfriend or for a casual date with my husband. I love the way the heeled boot dresses the entire look up, but the button down tunic makes nursing easy and accessible. With the length of the tunic and duster I could easily swap the jeans for a stretch legging and a flat boot for an even more casual fall look.
