I am so excited to share todays blog!! Becaussseeeee my mom is making a guest appearance on Curls and Contours! In todays post I am sharing a look into our family tradition of decorating for Christmas, and how our most precious jewelry from the Jewelry Depot plays a role in these traditions. Each year when the holidays roll around we get nostalgic and plan up fun Christmas activities to celebrate the holiday season. A constant that is with us all year long, but especially enjoyed when we are all together is our jewelry.
If you have been following me for awhile then you know I am a jewelry minimalist, I prefer my wedding rings, a watch(if I remember to wear it) and maybe some earrings. Because I don’t wear much jewelry the pieces I do wear are high quality and can take everyday wear. I learned from my mother at a young age to take good care of your jewels, keep them clean and maintained. I also learned from my mother to work with a jeweler, and specifically to work with Dan from the Jewelry Depot!
When Liz(withwonderandwhimsy.com) and I started Boutique Consultants last year I knew immediately that I wanted to work with Dan. He has been my family jeweler for over 15 years and I knew that this family owned business would be a perfect fit for our business. I wanted to share this fantastic small business with my community of fashionistas, and Michigan babes.

Family Traditions
Tradition is defined as : the transmission of customs or beliefs from generation to generation, or the fact of being passed on in this way.
The best diamonds just like the best marriages last a LONNGGGG time. And finding a jeweler that you can trust to make those big investments with is priceless. My whole life my mother only ever went one place to maintain, refresh and invest in new pieces. When it came time to find and invest in my own precious jewels going to the Jewelry Depot was a no brainer. Of course Dan would help my husband and I find the perfect diamond to fit in my ring.
The Jewelry Depot is known for working with multiple generations within a family, mothers, daughters and sons just in my family alone! When you find a jeweler you can trust, you pass that trust on to your friends and family. Just like a Christmas tradition, that lasts from year to year. My mom and I had so much fun decorating together this year, the added sparkle on our fingers as we hung each ornament and fluffed each bow was just a bonus.
