This “Winter Date Night Out” post contains gifted product and affiliate links.
This past week Keith and I finally got our Valentines date night! It was the first time we had eaten inside a restaurant since early November and it was glorious, we had cocktails and food cooked by someone else! I mean life could not get better than that! With outings so rare these days I wanted to dress up for the night, and with a foot of snow on the ground and 20 degree temps my outfit had to be winter appropriate as well.
All of this had me reaching for some winter standbys in my closet as well as a couple of new pieces I have not worn out yet. My silk skirt and snake boots are fall and winter favorites for me, the fit and style is really fun AND mixed with other pieces make a versatile couple of items! Eloquii gifted me some pieces this February, including this fab chocolate brown knit top, paired with a black slip skirt, boots and a coordinating coat this ended up being an outfit to remember! Something I want to touch on, which I have talked about on my Instagram before. This outfit is meant to please ME and no one else, I love the colors and the fit of this look I may be going on a date(with my husband) but I am not dressing to impress him, I am dressing to impress myself! This coming week I challenge you to get dressed up for YOU, that can look like your favorite pair of sweats or it can be a skirt thats been waiting for post pandemic life to begin.
