With the holidays well under way I wanted to share a fun and unique post, a holiday swim post! Today I teamed up with Andie once again to bring you some fabulous female designed suits with a fun holiday twist. As I was working on this photoshoot and creating the content I kept coming back to this idea that “Not all suits are created equal”, that is something unfortunately I did not learn until later in life. Swim suits were always a source of anxiety and upsetness for me, honestly when I was younger I avoided wearing a swim suit at all costs. Now that I have learned what a quality swim suit is, and what it can do for your confidence and outlook I am not missing a chance at the pool, beach or hot tub. Andie swim creates quality suits, designed by women FOR WOMEN. YOU are meant to wear the suit, the suit is not meant to wear you!
Living in the midwest, in Michigan to be exact I don’t get many opportunities to wear a suit in the winter, unless I am in Florida or near a hot tub. So for this blog post I wanted to style the two suits that Andie sent to me with a cozy vibe. Complete with a trapper hat and flannel shirt.
Lets set the scene, its 2020 so obviously you need a winter getaway to a cute and cozy AirBnB, its got a hot tub but its COLD. Instead of wrapping up in a lame towel you grab your warmest flannel and hat to sneak out to the hot tub for a dip. Steam it up girl, you deserve it.
The best part an Andie suit is going to seamlessly take you from the hot tub to the beach in southern Florida, just trade that trapper hat for a straw one.
Lets talk about the two suits that I styled for this Andie holiday post.
The Mykonos
How gorgeous is this suit in navy? I love the plunging neckline, and find that I have plenty of support on my D size bust, the removable cups are great for getting the perfect amount of coverage needed. I love that this suit has thick straps that come up and over my shoulders, this helps me feel “all in” if that makes sense. There is a seam sewn into the waist area that adds a little extra waist defining action as well. I am a size 16, and opted for the XXL in this suit. I am happy with the fit and I LOVE that this suit comes in so many colors and fabrics!
The Wynwood
I had so much fun styling the cherry red Laguna suit this summer, Andie sent me another cherry red suit this time its the fabulous Wynwood. I love the fun one shoulder detail and definitely felt like this one had support but is also sexy! I got the XXL in this suit as well, I wanted extra coverage up top. I cant wait to wear this cute suit in FL this winter, it will look beautiful! As a plus size woman, I have steered away from one shoulder suits in the past thinking that I wouldn’t get the support I need. This was my first experience with a one shoulder suit and its completely lovely and fits just how I want it! This is my 5th Andie suit, and support + coverage is something they specialize in!
I have partnered with Andie Swim in the past, read my summer blog post with them HERE.
