Christmas is getting closer and closer, there are just a few days left until shipping dates are no longer available and you are either shopping person or wearing what you have got in your closet. So with that in mind, todays blog post is all about outfit formulas that are tried and true AND may already be in your closet! All of these looks are from previous Decembers, I love them all for different reasons and think that you might get inspired by them too!
Read my last post HERE.
Outfit Formula ONE
Distressed denim + plaid shirt jacket
One of my favorite casual outfit formulas that always looks great in a pinch, a shacket and casual denim. Pair with a tee if its warmer or a turtleneck or crew neck top if its colder and head out the door to that holiday event! I like to wear ankle boots with this type of outfit, and in Michigan waterproof boots are best.
Outfit Formula TWO
Sweater dress + jacket
You either love sweater dresses or you hate them lol. I personally love sweater dress and will reach for one when I want to look dressed up and stylish. Pair with some knee boots and TRY a jacket over your shoulders with it. Typically sweater dresses are thicker so a heavy jacket isn’t needed. I love them with knee boots for added coverage and even with tights!
Outfit Formula THREE
Duster cardigan + mom jeans
This is a classic outfit formula for me in the winter, and an easy go to for holiday gatherings. I love the comfort and style a mom jean provides and the coverage of a duster cardigan, I originally styled this outfit in 2019 and would wear again with a tighter top under my cardigan and some wire framed sunglasses. For an extra chic styling wear some heeled boots that coordinate with your duster!
Outfit Formula FOUR
Silk skirt + sweater
Going somewhere MUCH dressier? Grab that silk skirt that collecting dust in your closet and style with a merry red(or green or white) sweater and some knee boots. For this holiday look I went with gold accessories which help add to the jolly feel. This holiday outfit is warm AND so easy to wear!
