I cant believe I am 33 weeks pregnant this week! Its amazing how time has flown by and now here I am looking at the end of my pregnancy. I have been thinking on this blog post for awhile and how I wanted to write it, being pregnant and working with my wardrobe has been an adventure since about 18 weeks. At that point I had to kiss non maternity pants goodbye and start taking a proactive look at how I would dress myself for the remainder of my pregnancy. The bulk of my pregnancy has been through the winter and spring, and the last few(some would argue the hardest) months are happening during warm weather. I wanted to write this post for all the plus size and pregnant mamas out there that are looking for easy outfit formulas to wear that consist of non maternity clothing!
The world of plus size clothing has exploded and women now have the so many options to pick from on the regular, the world of plus size maternity clothing has a couple of great brands but for the most part is missing out. In this post I am sharing 4 different maternity outfit formulas for the plus size and pregnant mama to work with. All the items I am sharing exist in abundance in plus sizes and are really easy to shop for.
Things to note – Every plus size body is different, we all carry our weight differently and that is A – OK! Just like plus bodies being different pregnant bodies are also ALL different. We carry and grow our babies in our own way. That being said. I believe these outfit formulas will work well for all plus and pregnant bodies. I have carried my baby high and all out in front of me, I have had to specifically search for dresses and skirts with some length because I am carrying so out in front of me.

Outfit Formula 1 – Pleated Skirt + Blouse
Pre baby Adams I was an admitted pleated skirt lover, when I started showing I knew midi length pleated skirts would be a great option for me. I styled this look with a woven blouse, but could also make this skirt work with a tank top and denim jacket.
Maternity must haves to make this look work – A skirt with a stretch waistband! Only shop skirts with stretch waistbands, even if you can make them zip without a stretch band by the end of the day you will be so uncomfortable from the lack of stretch all day.

Outfit Formula 2 – Wrap Dress
True wrap OR faux wrap this style of dress always looks stunning on! My go to spot for shopping this silhouette is Eloquii and Kiyonna, both of these brands offer a wide variety of styles and patterns in this silhouette. I have been wearing my wrap dresses with everything from flats to heels!
Maternity must have tip – Order your usual size, a wrap dress should offer some stretch and when you have your baby you can still rock these silhouettes(perfect for nursing).

Outfit Formula 3 – Stretch Jumpsuit + Moto Jacket
Jumpsuits are ALL THE RAGE right now!! You can find them in virtually every cut, color, and pattern! I love a good jumpsuit when I feel like I want pants BUT also want the flow of a dress!
Maternity must have tip – I size up in jumpsuits to give myself extra room in the belly and under area. I have found this makes all the difference in the world as my bump grows!

Outfit Formula 4 – A line dress + light jacket
Layering is one of my favorite ways to add texture to any look! When the weather is just right I like to add a light jacket over an A line dress. A line dresses flow away from the body and are an easy silhouette for plus size and pregnant babes to rock! I especially love looking for A line dresses with buttons down the front so I can rock this style after my baby gets here for nursing!
Maternity must have tip – With your hormones changing constantly I like to have an extra layer on hand in case I get a little cold or feel like layering up.
