Skirts for spring dressing, this post contains affiliate links and gifted products.
One of my favorite outfit formulas for year round is a skirt and a cute top, in the winter its a sweater, in the spring/summer its a tank or a tee. Brands have started rolling out their spring/summer pieces and its a great time to shop for staple pieces that will take you through the warm weather months. I find in this last push of winter, its especially nice to dream of warmer weather days! In todays post I am sharing a look that I styled and wore on my recent vacation, its a great outfit for a vacation AND for spring dressing. I am also sharing some of my top skirt picks for the coming warmer months, I love a midi skirt but have added some maxi and mini length skirts in too!
What I love the most about a skirt and top outfit is that they are separates, this means you can mix and match the pieces into your wardrobe with denim, slacks, other skirt options. Dress things up or down with accessories and shoes, the options are endless. The skirt I am sharing today is from Anthropologie, its part of the Somerset dress collection. The waist has stretch and the skirt is made of a stiffer cotton so its full but light weight, I love the black because it mixes so well with other things in my closet! For this look I styled with a caramel high neck tank from Lane Bryant. I love these tanks for layering and LB has brought them out in some great colors for spring/summer, I have been talking about them on my Instagram quite a bit!
I completed this look with black and brown accessories, I added some statement hoops from Kendra Scott, my favorite summer bag from Clare Vivier, and Tory Burch sandals. Some Ray-Bans tie the look together!
