**POST DISCLAIMER**My how our world has changed in the past couple of weeks. I have done a lot of thinking prior to posting, there is so much going on in the world right now so many women are turning to their online communities for a reprieve from what they are seeing in the news. Its my hope that Curls and Contours be a place of solace for readers and followers, as we take on this season of life I think its important to be able to dream, be inspired and find ways to forget our worries and woes. I hope todays post is something that can do all of those things for you.
Today on the blog I am sharing a couple of beautiful outfits from Christopher And Banks. Liz from the blog withwonderandwhimsy.com and I collaborated to share two spring looks from the new arrivals at Christopher And Banks, these outfits actually coordinate but are also totally unique to our personal tastes! Liz and I have so much fun doing these types of style posts for this exact reason, even after years of styling outfits together it still cracks us up the different things we pick out! C&B has so many beautiful springtime options for women of all sizes, they carry sizes 4-24W as well as petite sizing in 4-16p. This is a brand that truly is seeking to dress women of all shapes and sizes, and I am here for it!
Like I have shared before Christopher And Banks releases collections that coordinate, meaning you can buy multiple pieces from a collection and have them work together to create multiple looks. You will see in the pieces that Liz and I selected that our outfits coordinated and went together, we could have easily swapped jackets, and accessories and still looked cute and on trend!
My Picks From The Spring Collection
Raise your hand if you LOVE denim jackets {raises hand up high}. I KNOW this is predictable, but I really do love layering a denim jacket over just about any outfit. C&B has THIS cropped denim jacket right now and its a fantastic layering piece for spring. I am nursing my 7 month old, so its all about separates for me right now. I went with an olive midi skirt, that had plenty of stretch and will go with a bunch of things in my closet. For a top I wanted something in white to give the denim and olive skirt a lighter feel, I finished off the outfit with an olive scarf and coral earrings to pick up on a pattern in the scarf.
Denim Jacket | White Top | Olive Skirt | Coral Earrings | Olive Scarf
To lend this outfit even more spring goodness I paired it with open toe booties, and a basket bag that I picked up on vacation. This spring look came together with a distinctly casual and comfortable feel that I am looking for, one that will make me feel put together while I am padding around the house during this time of social distancing and one that will be ready to take on the days activities when all of this is over.
